Roger Stone is the Latest to be Indicted

Muller better get on the stick and get out his report.  At this stage of the Nixon Watergate era it's already January of 1975 when people weren't even talking about Watergate any more.   Roger Stone was indicted on seven counts last week.  Five were for lying to congress and one was obstruction and there was one more.  But the meat of the matter is that Stone was involved in Wikkileaks and talking with Julian Assange in 2016.   Ok here is other material from Thursday.   Roger Stone has been indicted and Stephanie Miller is delighted by the news.  Roger Stone was charged with dealing with Julian Assange of Wikki leaks concerning material to sabotage the Hillary Presidential campaign.  But apparently they held off on the worst charges hoping to make a deal.  My feeling is that they should throw the book at him with every charge they can think of.  Then if they like what he says in testimony and if they’re in a good mood that day, then they’ll eliminate charges as they see fit and feel comfortable with eliminating.  It seems to me all of the trump people are under-charged hoping to win some favor.  I think Muller should get off the dime and just come out with his report and if there is more material that comes out, then do an updated report.  This is only logical but these people aren’t logical.

During lunch Trump’s speech was playing on the TV and it didn’t appear to be a short one.  President Trump has agreed to reopening the government and he did so without any pre-conditions from Pelosi.  This is a major concession by the President.  Some remarked about the way the president was dressed in the rose garden with his red tie and top coat.  He spoke a lot about the women and children sex trafficking and how the wall would stop the trucks from rolling north.  He spoke of hundreds of thousands of new drug addicts.  He made his solution seem doable with a strategic two hundred and some odd miles of steel wall.  He repeated that he never advocated a concrete wall from shore to shore.  I think his ideas are at least considering.

I had on Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.  They each talked a little and took a few questions.  Reporters were trying to egg them on to gloat a little at what a loser the President was and how he was so brilliantly out-smarted.  Gloating does nobody any good.  The President reiterated his threat to declare an emergency or else shut down the government again if he doesn’t get his way.  It is people like Anne Coulter and others on the right that speck of President Trump being the biggest whimp of all time.  After this it was Norman Goldman, which is the first time I have gotten to listen to this program in a long time because Bill has been riding shotgun over the TV and if I turn it off he takes notice.

President Trump has come to the decision that he’s going to now wait for the government shut-down to be over with and then he’s going to deliver the State of the Union in the house chamber as Presidents always do.  He calls this request of Nancy “reasonable”.   Koehn has been subpoenaed by congress even though he fears reprisals from the Trump administration.   There are allegations against his father in law for working with organized crime in Ukraine, and Giuliani has gotten on the band wagon on this one.  He won’t be testifying in early February as planned but he’s going to testify before he goes to prison in March.  People are looking forward to all of the new revelations.  Trump proposed a new deal with Pelosi yesterday.  He says that the government can be opened on a three week trial basis to see if we can reach an agreement.  But Trump wants a “down payment” on the wall before the government can be reopened.
