So - When will the Rest of Us "Figure It Out?"

Randy Rhodes is wondering when it will dawn on the "Average American" that this right wing Republican House is screwing us over- - along with various red state governors.  So the liberals have the Blacks, and about 75% of the Latino population- - and most of the single women and a good chunk of the married woman- - and most of the college student population.  The trouble is- will that be enough?  Most people don't even think so - - even if you add in the gay population and a good chunk of poor Whites.  It used to be a mantra that these people got their "inspiration for Being" from the eight years Ronald Reagan was President.  Some may have thought when this memory of an era that "never was" begins to fade from the American memory, it may become more hopeful for democrats.  Of course you'd think sheer age would be a factor.  For instance someone fifteen in 1983 in the middle of Reagan's legondary first term- would be 45 now, and getting older all the time.  But we know age is not the hopeful factor it would seem at first blush because there are an alarming number of young, ignorant Biggots out there- - and many of these are the products of people my age sending their kids to Christian schools to "protect them".  Well they were "protected" all right.  Protected from the realities of Life every other American has to face.  The products of these Christian schools are not ashamed of their lack of intellectual ability or knowledge of history.  In fact they are proud of it.  "Well, I don't know about that" is one of their favorite mantras.  If they "Don't know about it' then it doesn't Exist according to their ego centric and frankly childish world viewpoint.  We all thought "the change" had come in the off year congressional elections of 2006, which is seven years ago already.  We're still waiting.  They used to speak of the "oughts" as "the lost decade".  But now we're going to have to add to that "The lost teens".  Psychics are useless.  They are forever like a broken record speaking of "a great change that is occurring now".   I just have to hope that- - like someone who has made a wrong turn on an auto trip- - that somehow it will dawn on these people "this isn't the way I was expecting to go.  This isn't the scenery I was expecting to see" and decide its time to turn around.

The President according to earlier reports I received, was playing golf when he was informed that the Bin Laden raid had taken place.  This same report said that the President never officially gave the order but kind of froze up in indecision.  Now a new Glen Beck report has the president coming off the golf course only to engage in a marathon session of card playing - - Spades.  We played that at the Bosc house.  Note who is sitting in the command chair and it isn't the President.  According to Glen Beck, even with Walt Disney when he entered the room everyone else would stand.  But with this President he's kind of in that "Can I watch, too" kind of states.  And it was noted that unlike the others, the President wasn't holding any sort of computer device.  Either this President is just super apathetic about the whole thing - - or it's Something Else, and can't imagine what that would be.

This is Friday August 16, 2013 and the 36th anniversary of Elvis’ death.  In the Gospel of Marcion- - the line “a prophet is never accepted in his home town” is not there.  In fact neither is the scriptural quotation Jesus quoted from Isaiah 61.  The people just got pissed because Jesus wasn’t casting out demons in Nazareth.  And they refer to the cliff that Nazareth was built on, which is a geographical error.  But something else struck me.  Something that is in brackets in the text is Jesus rebuking all the towns he had ministered in.  Capernaum was listed as well as Beth Saida and Tyre Siden, but strangely Nazareth is not listed, although Jesus was able to do no miracles there at all because the people didn’t have Faith.  This lends itself to the idea that at some point with scripture was being compiled- - Nazareth was already taking on the status of some sacred city because it was a site people came to see where Jesus spent his childhood, much as they come to this tiny house in Tupulo, Mississippi to see the place where Elvis was born.  As to the idea of belittling who Jesus actually was why did Marcion also omit the relating of Jesus going out into the wilderness to fast for the reasons that prophets do such things, to “purify themselves”.  This episode would have gone a long way to making Jesus “more human”.  And the idea that Satan would even deem him a weak enough “vessel” to tempt- would also make Jesus seem more human, and having something in common with humanity.

This is what I call “stupid day”.  Tom at the breakfast table made a statement or cast an opinion that was an instant conversation killer.  I’m not even going to mention what.  We then have John Fugelsang on the Stephanie Miller show getting angry with a Black guy- because that Black guy didn’t see why John wasn’t upset about this so called “Clown” at the Missouri State Fair.  Apparently it was a pretty ugly scene.  It wasn’t a “clown”.  There was no good natured humor involved.  It was sheer ugliness.  It was an Obama mask and the guy was playing with his big lips and he had a pole up his rectum.  And he would run in panic at the sight of a bull- and the people were yelling for the “clown” to be trampled.  And apparently there were some ultra racists in the crowd- selling highly racist T shirts and other items.  But we move on to Moe Kelly and that show was getting off to such a bad start I wasn’t going to stick around.  First he lodges the charge that that kidnapped teenage girl, Hanna Anderson from San Diego- - really wasn’t a hostage, and perhaps she really wasn’t even upset about her mother and her brother being killed, because according to Moe she wasn’t “grieving sufficiently”.  And apparently there were used condoms found among the things at the De Maggio house- so they add two and two and get 22 and conclude that Hanna and De Maggio were having some sexual affair.  Then Moe lites into this 67 year old great grandmother calling her ugly and things- who is the sixteenth victim of sexual harassment of that San Diego mayor, Phillner.  At some point I turned it to Rush, who strangely was making more sense than anybody else in this paragraph.  He spoke of the idea that there are people out there who want a permanent lower class and want to make you dependant on you and will constantly discourage you from breaking free or doing anything to actually improve your lot in life and America didn’t used to be this way.  Ths thing is I have lived just what Rush Limbaugh is talking about.  There are people like that because they are my family and people like Dr Levy who will always talking about how “You’ll never escape your life as it is now- so don’t ever look upward to strive for something better- - but above all just be content, and if you’re good, we’ll give you a three percent raise every few years or so”.   (Selah)

And now brought to you by my Korean doctor Wee Tu Lo.   The line was terrible but my good cholesterol was too low, and my total cholesterol was 156, which is way down from the 209 when I first came here and that figure was down from my alcoholic 221 days.   In fact my good cholesterol was actually reading sub normal.  I need more meat.  My glucose was only 82, which is down from 121 back fifteen years ago, and if anything is low.  I’m about as far as diabetic as you can get.  But one figure I forgot to mention actually does bother me, my hemogloben was low- - which means that despite the iron supplement I've been taking, there is still a problem there - in terms of a potential blood disease.  Only my CO2 in the blood was high in the normal range, due to my smoking, or perhaps because I was too nervous to take a breath in the office.   As you know on one medical exam when I was twelve my height was 5 feet four & a half inches.  This is in contrast to modern day little league pitchers, also allegedly only twelve, who are nearly a foot taller than that.  Never mind adult steroids, I think they ought to check these kids’ blood.  In terms of mal practice insurance the figure in California they said was tapped at $250,000 max, which is a total joke.  That gets knocked right down to $150,000 after attorney’s fees.  Assuming that a doctor earned half a million per year, every doctor in a hospital could afford to kill a patient every two years and still have plenty of money to live on.  Given the rise in the price of other things since 1975,  a hike to about three million would not be at all out of place.  Because given the fact that we’ll always have inflation, the value of THAT amount will decline in time.  By the way you out of towners, do you know how big of a home you can buy for a million dollars in the Los Angeles area?  It isn't that big, I assure you.  You can't buy a decent house for less than about $350,000 and this is opposed to maybe sixty thousand in 1975, if they cost that much then.  My brother and his first wife were planning on buying a nice house for $35,000 now that I think of it.  At $150,000 maybe you can afford the cab bill on the way to the court house.

This was “try and remember” day on Days of our Lives.  Kate visited Sammy in her jail cell and got her to remember previously un-recalled details about the scene just before she shot Officer Bernardi.  For one thing he was not in a position to slit his throat- - but was further down, and he was holding a sheet in one hand and a straight razor in another.  And suddenly the awful truth dawned on her that his mission that night was to cut off his genitals and present them as a little gift to Stephano.  Meanwhile Elvis wanted Officer Hernandez to make up stories about stuff that didn’t happen to paint Bernardi in an incrimidating light.  Of course first Elvis besought Hernandez to “try and remember every detail about every interaction you had with Bernardi.”  Meanwhile across town- - a pregnancy kit fell out of Christine’s things and Jennifer saw it and got Christine to admit that Brady was not the father.  The thing is though, Jennifer and Christine are about the same age.  Christine was no spring chicken even twenty years ago.  She was younger than I was for sure.  Maybe she was between 25 and 28?  Do you know how old that would make her now?  Between 45 and pushing fifty, which is too old to be getting pregnant- - for a woman who was told years ago that she’d never under any circumstances- - - even seemingly by in vetro- - be able to bring a child to term.  But of course this is soap land.

There are a lot of things I don't know.  Hell, I don't even know how to replace an auto transmission.  I've talked about string theory - on various fleeting occasions.  I would not even want to attempt the math in particle quantum physics.  On the other hand I know the math in hyperbolic trig theory- - but the problem there is use and application, and of this I know very little.  We could talk about poly-dimensional space, and by the same criteria that if my "Marcus ninety degree theory" works in 3 D trig, then there ought to be no problem with it in 4 D trig, along with many of the common formulas for calculating area and perimeters.  (However many would be new)  The biggest question about poly-dimensional space is whether it even Exists at all.  (But if it does the mathematicians are ready)  And there is psychic phenomina, which it seems the More it is investigated the Less evidence there Is of it.  And then we have all of my Federation stuff and once again, many readers may have questions about.  But one reason why there is a knowledge gap, if that I don't know the answers myself.  And unlike others, I don't try and fake answers where they haven't been revealed yet.
