Well now the right wing is all in a kurfuffle (one of those Rush Limbaugh words) over a Cheerios commercial. I couldn't believe it. Apparently there was this "contraversial" bi-racial commercial we all saw last year which I gave another thought. I remember several years ago when Loretta was telling me that a lot of Mormons were giving Marcia a hard times and had trouble accepting her, and puzzled I asked "Why", and Loretta said, Well, because she's Black". Of course Marcia went on to have her official White Robe temple ceremony and baptized and all of that. Meanwhile Loretta has distanced herself from the Mormon church. It's one of those things where you have to go "Oh yea, I forgot about that". Apparently there was such an uproar over this Cheerios add because they had to disable the comments section because the tweets were so hot and heavy with the N word. So now someone from MSNBC does an innocent "tweet" about how "Even if conservatives will hate this add, the rest of us will think of it as a warm and fuzzy family moment" and all. But now Reinz Previs is DEMANDING that MSNBC give him a personal apology. Well, MSNBC gave Previs his apology and also fired the guy who did the Tweet. I'll tell you right now if I were that unlucky guy I'd be filing with the EEOC for wrongful termination. And now old Reiny says "Well, that's a good first step. I guess MSMBC is kind of on - - Probation now". This Previs fellow is so out to lunch he thinks he's the FCC or something. By the way I'm informed that General Mills is a Romulan company - - - just like three M is a Romulan company. Meanwhile Martin Bashier still doesn't have his job back with MSNBC. If you're a Reigelian you like that name "Bashier".
Well what I want to know if when are the Democrats going to stop coming and begging - - Hat in Hand, for acceptance by the Republicans. They go "Please, allow us to pass the farm bill. Please because we'll agree to cut the Food Stamp allowance, and if it isn't enough to suit you, maybe we could cut a little more". If I were President Obama I'd say "Screw the farm bill. You'd be doing me a favor if you DON"T pass it". It seems that now this compulsion of "going along to get along" has reached Ed Schultz. Because this morning on his radio show, Ed Schultz came out in favor of the Canadian oil pipeline. I wish to God the President had come out in 2012 and condemned the pipeline and said he'd work to make sure it was not approved. But since the President wouldn't do that- - not only does he lose the trust from people on our side- - but leaves himself open to Tea Party charges that secretly President Obama intends to kill the pipeline as soon as he's reelected. These are the same people who say "President Obama is coming after your guns the minute he gets reelected". This President is like the guy who borrows a gun from someone and fiddles with it in a crowd of people and never intends to use it- - but someone in the crowd yells "Gun!- - " and the next thing you know President Obama is dead from a half a dozen gun shots. This Canadian pipeline is a disaster for one and all, and it won't bring the United States any cheaper oil. It will just make China richer and aid and abet the ravaging of the land of Alberta. Randy Rhodes just said that President Obama will be appearing on the Bill O Riley show on Superbowl sunday. As Pete Seeger said long ago "When will they ever learn - - when will they ever - - Learn".
Apparently this Sochie Olympics thing is a major fraud all around on the world. It isn't the Swiss or the Tyrolian Alps, which would be more logical choices for the Winter Olympics. It's kind of the Russian Mafia that got the deal done. Vladimir Putin just wanted the Olympics in Sochie because it's his favorite "summer resort" town because it's one of the warmest places in the Soviet Union, and yes, I'm calling it that. Sochie didn't get famous for their snow. It's another replay of Vancouver- - which isn't known for its snow, either, particularly in that warm year they had it there. They say "We have uncovered no actual evidence that any money actually changed hands". I guess it's just a case of "Making them an offer they can't refuse" and if they don't want to wake up with a bleeding, dead horse's head next to them, they better play ball.
Let's review the minimum wage situation once more. The wage now is $7.50 in states in the nation that haven't raised it on their own. So basically the argument goes that at least a forty percent increase is necessary to get even a glimmer of economic fairness. But Obama only wants it raised to $10.10 when the inflation adjusted rate would be at $10.40 - - an easy figure to remember. But as has been pointed out, if you factor in how much harder each employee is worked now and how productive each employee is forced to be- - the figure should be more like fifteen dollars an your, or approximately double what it is now. Of course Rush Limbaugh claims "You're making victims out of all those people. You're playing the victim card". If you don't like "victim" how does "disadvantaged" strike you, Rush. That is- - you show up in cletes and shoulder pads and a helmet- - and play tackle football with a guy in street clothes and tennis clothes and no helmet. Rush says "You are blaming rich people who had absolutely to do with it". Well, I'm not suggesting blaming Rich people who "had nothing to do with it" I suggest blaming those Rich people who ARE the ones- - such as the Koch brothers, and Grover Norquist and even Rush himself. It's kind of funny that Rush Limbaugh believes he's speaking exclusively to the rich and priveleged- - and can't conceive of the idea of any other kind of American even mattering, or meriting of his or her input into the system. But there was this pizza guy who claims 'I pay my employees an average of nine dollars an hour and if the new minimum wage hike goes through I'll lose $250.00 per day eating into my profits". I was thinking of someone who sold maybe two hundred and fifty pizzas per night- - - he would lose ten percent of his gross. But let's do a few caviats. First of all knock 35% of that figure off because of tax payroll expense deductions he can now take. This figure assumes a pizza place owner who had ten employees working the same shift at once- - and every shift is a 25 hour per day shift. There aren't 25 hours in a day, of course. This also would suggest that ALL TEN employees are now being paid BELOW the minimum wage figure, which even the Pizza owner himself might agree isn't true. Maybe if more people had more money he would sell more pizzas so now he was able to sell four hundred pizzas per night instead of 250, and this would assume that each pizza sells for an average price of ten dollars a pizza. So basically - - this guy is alleging that the profit on 25 pizzas per night will be lost to him because of the minimum wage hike.
And now more of this origens of rock groups bullshit we do now and then. It seems there was a major rivalry in the early sixties between the Bajorans and the Belmonts. The Bajorans were more of a west coast influence and the Belmonts on the east coast. The Bajorans were more of the protagonists. The Bajorans hate the song 'Those Oldies but Goodies" because it rips off a couple of their biggest hits. We have learned of three more Neir Reigelian groups. The Janettes with "Sally Go Round The Roses", the Dixie Cups, who had three or four hits, depending on how you count - - and also the Shangra-las. The Romulans don't like any Neir Reigelian group. This could be another Rivelry thing because the Four Seasons were riding the crest of popularity in 1964 and were it not for all the Four Seasons hits on the charts, the Beatles would have had even more hits in the top five. Many Romulans viewed the Four Seasons as cheap rip-off artists. We now come to the make up of the Dallas Romulans. Well they have a lot of Romulan in them but a polyglot of other groups such as the Delanians, and the Renuah - - and perhaps a little Crestorian. There is a group that hangs around Atlanta called the "Feeorians" or is it "Fiorians" - - and Dwane Almon is said to be part Fiorian. Possibly - - some Delanian and Fiorian mix was involved here. But unlike most time with this genetic stuff, I was given no proper fraction exact numbers.

Eric Holder Seeks Death Penalty for Surviving Zarniaf Brother
Attorney General Eric
Holder is asking for the death penalty in the Boston Marathon case for the
surviving Zarniaf brother. It’s what he
wants, of course, but I guess, with all respect to the Rolling Stones “Sometimes,
you DO get what you want”. Still this
request puts the lie to the notion that President Obama is somehow a closet
Moslem sympathizer. Again just today on
that new 1150 station here in LA, KEIB, they stated that because the President’s
half brother chose to wear a particular shirt when the president visited Kenya
many years ago. Then this proved that the President also “wants to drive Israel
into the sea”. I have heard it repeated
countless times, over and over that “Obama is the most hostile President of the
United States that Israel has ever faced.
I hardly think a one of these tea baggers would be happy living in
Israel though. They’d find their
government nightmarishly liberal.
Besides, every citizen has compulsory military service there. There was this Jerk-off on one of these TV
drama shows- - I guess it was “Burn Notice” where the father kind of kidnapped
his sun into this military outpost, set up along the lines of the “Apocralipse
Now” movie. The trouble is of course is
that he was referring to the Star of the show as “not patriotic” when the Star
of the show was in the military, but this joker who ran this military compound
with all his guns and fences and listening equipment, hadn’t spent a day in the
military. Hypocracy is always hot and
heavy on the right. But the funny thing
is this little diatribe was only launched into by – Glen Beck - - because of
something in Rand Paul’s father’s background that could prove politically embarrassing
- - and so Glen Beck fell back on that time tested adage of “The best defense
is a good offense”.
I knew the Queen was
many things but I never thought she was cheap, but apparently she is. Buckingham Palace is running out of money and
the government is telling them they have to cut expenses. They plan to offer more tours of Buckingham
Palace and Windsor Castle or whatever to raise needed funds. But there was a job for the Queen’s personal
buttler, or whatever the female term counterpart of a Buttler is. This personal aid is in charge of guarding
and organizing the royal jewelry, and drawing the Queen’s bath, and even assist
her in dressing and grooming. It sounds
like a highly elite position, but at $25,000 per year in the monetary equivalent-
- this Buttler or Aid won’t be earning that much more per year than some
teenage burger flipper here in California once the rates go up, earning a
little pocket money.
This medical story is
totally bogus. It seems that some HDL or
high density lipid can “go Rogue” just like Sarah Palin. There is this old man they say has “severe
artery blockage” but one thing is for sure.
It wasn’t caused by his diet. His
LDL cholesterol is under a hundred and his HDL is a mere 57 or something. The total figure is well under two hundred -
- and in the old days this man would have been considered the picture of
health. But not to worry, now they have
an expensive new blood test you can take to see if YOU are one of those in
danger of harboring one of these Rogue HDL Cholesterol attacks.
People probably think
our California snow readings in the Sierra are bogus. It seems they got their first major snows up
there in a long time. From what I’ve
heard, we’ve had more skiing here in southern California then they have
had. School kids got a snow day - -
probably more because they figure “You better go now; it’ll be gone by the
weekend”. What they really need is
another good two or three feet more.
Then they can half way relax.
They say that the Sierra snow pack is only ten percent of normal. The last big crisis they had like this was
the winter of 1977 and at that time none other than Jerry Brown was also
governor then.
Amanda Knox was found
guilty of murder back in Italy.
Fortunately Amanda got out of the country. She was tried and acquitted for this murder
once, because the evidence just wasn’t there.
But then - - unlike in this country where “no fact found by a jury may
be questioned” in that country you can appeal acquittals. The appellate courts found some glitch in the
case and so tried her again, and you kind of new that they weren’t going to
waste another whole expensive trial unless they made damn sure she got
convicted this time. And she was.
We had beef Stroganoff
for dinner tonight and it was pretty good.
We had corn with it. We had
tapioca pudding for desert. Dora trekked
a highly erratic pattern around the room and she got to our table last but
there was still plenty of food in the tray, and I had pretty decent
seconds. Then I smoked my last
cigarette. Right now I have enough
change in my pocket to buy one cigarette.
Tomorrow I get paid and all my money problems will be over- for a
while. This idea of reorganizing Queen
albums hit me at the dinner table, and I know how I’m going to do it. It’s basically a way of just getting rid of
some of the chaff and giving you a better album. Unlike the bit with Who albums a couple
months ago- - this is a vinyl oriented reorganization. I’m not the least worried about the stock
market collapsing, regardless of what either Glen Beck or Thom Hartman
says. The bad weather most certainly
will drag this quarter’s economic numbers down.
My super-bowl prediction still votes the Hannity ticket. I'm sticking with Denver and Payton Manning. The temperature should actually warm to forty degrees.

Look What Those Tea Baggers Are Up To Now!
It's funny how people like Rush Limbaugh mocks anybody on the left who says "What we need to do is show more patience and tollerance and try and "understand" the other side". So I got to thinking "Well, OK then, just how Far to the Right would I have to "adjust" my thinking before the tea baggers accepted me as one of their own. Clearly my work was cut out for me today. I knew I had to listen to a big chunk of both the Glen Beck show and the Rush Limbaugh opening monolog. Well let's see. As you know yesterday Attorney General Eric Holder was being grilled in a Senate hearing by people such as Senator Grassley. That's a pretty cool "organic" name. It makes you think of the song "grazing in the grass" and free range beef and all of that. But clearly Senator Grassley was concerned about the grass. After a long rambling monolog that there was supposed to be a question in there some place where - - Grassley accused Holder of not doing his duties and all, he gets around to the marijuana laws in Washington State and Colorado. Grassley is "concerned" about federal laws not being enforced. "But what ever happened to State's Rights?" Well, that's a good question. Glen Beck accused Mike Lee of Utah of "being soft on Holder' and not as pointed of questioning as Beck himself would do. But Glen Beck also attacked both Oren Hatch of Utah, and also Karl Rove, of all people- - as somehow being sell-outs to the liberals. Well, we could make the same argument about Obama. For instance- - Thom Hartman mentions that Obama never stood up for labor rights and Labor Unions- - and teachers unions- - and never once suggested we should get rid of some of these right wing Republican governors. If President Obama is loyal to the left it's the most "stealth loyalty" I've ever seen. He never mentioned the Pacific Trade Agreement. I wish the President would have come out and comdemned the thing. That's what he would do if he were truely an economic patriot and a friend of higher wages for the working man, because the Pacific Trade Agreement will drive down wages. Obama says he's for ecology but he's also for an "all of the above energy plan". It's kind of like Ted Kennedy said about Mitt Romney in 1994. "Mitt Romney isn't PRO choice; he's multiple choice". Obama is all for ecology as long as he doesn't have to condemn the Canada to Texas oil pipe line, or stick up for labor unions, and as long as he doesn't have to come out against "clean coal" or the epidemic of hydrolic fracturing for natural gas that's going on now. Mathane burning increases global warming every bit as much as coal does, I bet you. The President doesn't make these simple connections. The President appears to have no problem with Nuclear power and never once mentioned how hazardous it was. So we on the left have our problems too with what I'd call "stealth loyalty". He says he's loyal but somehow nobody ever Sees it.
How we come to the Rush Limbaugh half of the equation. Rush is all upset this morning because Reinz Previs came on the Morning Joe show on MSNBC and advocated for the Immigration bill. Rush says this bill is an "Amnesty bill". What terrifies him the most, as he's admitted previously, is that all these new immigrants will be able to vote. Some Republicans, who also say they will now push the immigration bill, believe that these new Latino voters can be molded into a conservative voting block. Rush Limbaugh has read the poll numbers, however- - where any hope they will ever be anything but liberals - - is contra indicated. Rush Limbaugh says that if the immigration bill goes through, the democrats will take the House back, and it will be All Over for America, and "All of America will have turned into one bit California, which is now a liberal one party state because of all the immigrants now voting there". Such is Rush's faith in being able to impart his own philosophy to newcomers. It seems that the Republican Presidential Primary numbers are disconcerting to some. Mike Huckibee is now in top thanks to his anti women statement of the other day. Jeb Bush of Florida came in second. And Governor Christie came in third. None of these top three is particularly Glen Beck's cup of tea. It isn't till we get to number four and Rand Paul shows up, that these tea baggers can take heart just a little. Still they lament that "If we keep nominating left leaning republicans to the top spot on the ticket, we will continue to lose". Here again John Boehner even told the President the night of his address, that he as Speaker would bring up the Immigration bill.
There are even screwier issues. For instance - - neither Glen Beck nor Rush Limbaugh has ever spoken against the Trans Pacific Trade Agreement. Only people on our side such as Ed Schultz and Thom Hartman have done that. If ALEC - a fringe right wing group, is the only group supporting the Pacific Trade agreement, then clearly the liberals don't like it- - and once again the President fails to see which side his toast is buttered on. But they brought up a story about when the President intervened to save the domestic tire industry, according to some right wing source, the price of tires skyrocketed, and sales plumitted, and all sorts of people were thrown out of work because the President imposed a rubber terriff on China. Of course remember that it's a natural instinct of any nation to be Protectionist of their own industries. It's only the United States that has this "unnatural" inclination to sabotage itself. I could make an anti gay analogy here but I won't. Of course according to some new poll by - somebody - - Americans if given the the choice which theory to throw out Evolution or the Biblical story of Creation - - would vote to throw out Evolution because more people now believe in Creationism. Of course in schools in the South, they only teach History up to the civil war, so that anything or any lesson we could draw from the last hundred and fifty years of our nation -- is a complete blank to these people. Certainly nothing that has happened in the past century in this country is anything History books in the South want to touch with a ten foot pole. Now there is some complaint about Obama's half brother, who is still pretty much a stranger to the President since they never even knew each other growing up in different continents. It seems that one time when the President met him, his half brother was wearing a pro Islamic Tee Shirt that read "The temple mount is ours" and another part read "Ruling from the River to the sea". Strangely this could be almost a Bible quote. In the book of Isaiah it says something about God's Kingdom reigning from the River (taken to be the Euphrates) to the Sea (the Medeteranian) And since Jews and Moslems worship the same God, I don't see what there is to fight about on this particular issue. But supposedly it "proves" that President Obama is still a closet Moslem. It's just another of those "stealth" things about Obama he "keeps well hidden' or something.

I was thinking of this
idea of “reconciling with God” and other people may have this problem. What we need is a “God Sumit” where we can
“negotiate” with those in the know- - as to God’s nature and what he requires and
who is right and who is wrong. Scripture
says “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord” but I doubt religious
authorities actually take this scripture at face value. Eye Witness news is on now. It’s the year of the horse, and fortunately
they don’t serve what animal year it is, meat from that particular animal. It’s a “Yang” year, which is a year of
action. So is a “yin” year a year of
reflection and / or preparation or something?
I guess they trade off, odd and even. (added today) I guess that raises the question is like you have Lords and Ladies, and Dukes and Dutcheses, and even the Incubus and the Succubus, when it comes to demon posession - and what's good for the Geese and Ganders - bit, so you also have the hoo-hah and the male counter-part "Ying-yang". "His ying-yang got all bent out of shape on that one". Of course in Romulan loore the year of the Horse is not a good year but one characterized by strife and division (perhaps a bit of the Libra thing) and often economic stagnation. Expect to see sharp divisions and unresolved conflicts. Of course in Chinese they say the word for "fish" is the same word for "Abondance" and so that fish is a popular food item in Chinese New Year celebrations. There is a bit of a Jewish thing going on here too. Because you don't prepare the food the same day but in advance, so that you don't "cut into" your good luck. Also like Yom Kippur the feast begins on a New Moon or just after, and apparently lasts ten days.
Of course I haven't mentioned Jimmy Mc Culloch so far today, one of my "friends from the other side". People out there are wondering "Oh, he's the guy who "plays' the chain saw in that old Rush Limbaugh timber update thing twenty years ago". Cute. Coffee was just called. I have to hurry. Well of course as you know Romulans are "stealth" because of "Warped space". It's funny how Star Trek manages to slip that word "warp factor" in there. Of course it isn't a war Factor, but a specific incryption code for warping space in a particular way, hopefully so that it's contiguously compatable with other similarly warped or incrypted space. The thing is - - normal input from regular space can get IN, but it can't get OUT. So maybe these people with a particularly political WARP about them, are not ilinformed. They know better. They are just hell bent on YOUR ever learning the real Truth- - about Them or a lot of things. By the way we have a little Jim Cooper news. Apparently Johnny Cash was misinformed. Jim Cooper is not now "into guns" but when he astral-projected some time ago to the "other side" he did make a statement supporting Ted Nugent's right to keep and bear arms. He also said of Oswald and Kennedy, 'That S.O.B. wouldn't have been so brave looking out that school depository window, if he knew that people around the car would be firing back". However Jim also said that "As a Christian I have made a decision not to own a gun". He also echoed a statement I may have made that the people on Bela Tagis B known as "fivers" were a "Motley Crew" and said 'I like that term for us!" Jimmy Mc Culloch also said he was there personally when someone played "One More Try" off the "Out of Our Heads" album by the Rolling Stones. He says "I really like that song!" This is a song that was a favorite of Roger Shepherd.
Let's talk about Baryons as defined by the Romulans. Basically they seem to be referring to newtrons here and these can permiate "encrypted space". Not only that but like activated charcoal with poisons in the body, they "absorb" the encryped matter and "hence" the space. (Note: This is the word used here, and it seems to imply "therefore" space) The only thing that can really defeat Romulan cloaking is high radioactivity, and that's no state secret. Everybody knows it, but who wants to pilot a radioactive ship? The word "Barry" in Reigelian means "dense" or "dull" and also "retarded" as in mentally, and the word carried over into the Romulans, spelling against type. Typically they would spell it "Berryons" but they don't because it's a Reigelian word. The reason why stuff gets in and doesn't get out - - is necessarily kept a secret. It has Nothing to do with either Einstein or Black holes. And it doesn't seem to be like C02 such as causes global warming where polarized heat (infrared) waves get trapped. A possible analogy is how a powerful radio station gets picked up "off frequency" and drowns out a weaker nearby station. But don't hold me to that analogy too tightly. Nuclear reactors are poison to cloaking. This is because newtrons are baryons and alpha particles are what you'd call "Baryons on steroids" and defeat Romulan cloaking. In terms of water interfering with psychic or telepathic communacation - - Fed representtives say that "No situation in this material universe, or hypothetical situation - - can interfer with telepathy". You heard it here first. Tomorrow People are not working off of our script.

My Critique of the President's Speech
I
think Thom Hartman just called Wayne La Pierre as “Wayne Little-peter”. That’s pretty good. I did good last night on cigarettes. I smoked a cigarette right after the sun
went down about five twenty. I watched a
lot of the ABC network news on early. At
ten to six I knew I better get in the med line even though it was really long
and around the corner. I was right
behind Larry Cramer. Fortunately the
line moved quickly and there was not one snag in the line the entire time. I was up to the counter with Yadera on the
stroke of six. I got my meds and peanut
butter sandwich and back to my room just at the very start of TV coverage of
the President’s speech. They had the
procession of government officials in.
The President’s speech began at the stroke of six fifteen and lasted
exactly 65 minutes to 7:20. I would
give the President an A minus and I’ll tell you why it’s that high. It’s because of the situation he was facing
with this congress and the political climate.
He knew he would gain nothing by either pleading or reciting a list of
congressional failures because they would only call the President “comative”. He has this “Angry Nigger” image to contend
with, even though it’s always been the farthest thing from reality. It’s analogus to me and my family and the harassment
and threats and other bullshit such as destruction of property and the like and
the gross misuse of mental illness terms and the rank hypocracy and all. Neil of KFI says “There are no do overs in
life” and I don’t “need a do-over”.
Because for what small inkling I might improve or “try another tack”
knowing the future- - for what little I’d gain from a “do-over” I’d run the
risk of losing a lot more. This is the
case the President faced. He did the
smart thing. First of all the President’s
speech was more highly typically organized than I’ve ever seen, each topic
flowing in perfect logical progression from one thing to the other. The first part of the speech was “jobs, jobs,
jobs” and he trotted out countless personal examples and permutations and
student loans and the whole nine yards.
Much as Pat Buchannon advised, the president didn’t get on to foreign
policy and military security till 45 minutes into the speech. The President was cleaver in working the
immigration thing under the heading of “improving the economy” because the
economic experts say that the Immigration Bill passages would in fact cut the deficit
and stimulate the economy and make it all together healthier. It would bring younger people into the FICA
pool to keep social security more solvent longer. The danger again was that he’d say too much
and remind the republicans of area that were sore points with them. I myself don’t go for these “personal
testimonies”. I would be very leary
about using such “props’ in a speech I as president would give. President Obama gave a better speech than I
would have given. That’s why I gave him
an A - . I would have altogether more
berading of congress and my expressing my complete contempt for them, and
remind the people where Congress stands in the polls. I would have hauled out countless facts and
statistics, and “headed them off at the pass” bringing up rebuttals to
arguments they haven’t even made yet, but might think of making. But despite my favorable view of the speech
there are certain items that kept the speech from complete perfection. First of all the President not once mentioned
the travesty of a Citizen’s United ruling and how this is what put the tea
party in power to begin with. I would
have singled out individual tea party members by name. I would have called on the Supreme Court to
overturn this ruling “with all deliberate speed” to use their own words. The Pacific Rim Trade treaty was never
mentioned. Maybe this was smart. But does that mean the President intends to
be so stealth about this treaty he’s not going to dare even hold a public
discussion of it?? I would have
addressed this Sarah Palin bit about “free stuff” or the adage “It’s not free
if your neighbor has to pay for it”. I
would have perhaps letting my ID loose a little- - pointed out the farcical nonsense
of the idea that the Republicans are reaching out to the women and the
poor. I would have said “Mr Boehner, if
you think that helping out a few government contractors would do little to “Help”,
then if you really want to “Help” does that mean you want to PASS a minimum
wage agreement for everybody, not just government workers?” I also would have said something about how
it’s the rich who live in this “corporate welfare state” and remind congress
that the Wall Street bail out was “trusting that the banks would take this
money and lend it out to stimulate the economy and not just squirrel it away. So much for this “other people’s money” allegation. I would also mention that if anything the
Clinton years show that a tax HIKE actually STIMULATES the economy because in
fact, the companies will now have the added carrot and stick needed- - to
expand their business Assets and they get to take Depreciation deductions on
these, and the more workers they hire the more Expense deductions they can
make- - and if they pay them more- this too increases their deductions of the
taxes they WON’T have to pay that they think are so high. I would stress to the Republicans how much
their own inaction has kept the economy from growing- - and they are the ones
who do and always have held the purse strings, and in the end this economy for
good or bad, can largely be said to be a result of policies and bills they
either did pass, or failed to pass. I
would say something like ‘It’s the tea party that has essentially set the course
the last five years”. I double dog dare
you to find ANY set of economic statistics that IN ANY WAY – that the acts of
this Administration has made the economic inequity between the sexes or between
rich and poor or black and white or whatever- worse in the past five
years. Snow me the charts and
graphs. Snow me the “Nexis” of cause and
effect. You can’t do it!
Rush Limbaugh is a first rate hypocrite and I'll tell you why. One person yesterday aptly said "FOX news does not want you to BE informed. Rather their job as they see it is to make people who already agree with them FEEL informed. There's your "feelings" again. Randy Rhodes was once on with a 24 year old radio comentator who prided himself as "the youngest talk show host" and Randy asked this host "Well if you're so gung ho on all these wars why don't You enlist?" Randy tired of people questioning HER patriotism when SHE'S the vetteran and THEY aren't. Randy was never invited on that show again. Some FBI agent congressman from New York - - threatens people with violence if they dare embarrass him with a question he can't answer. Reporters sometimes "get weary in well doing". They may know how to do that job and even be "seasoned veterans in their line of work, but often let "the flesh" dictate how hard in the future they will work at their duties. (Selah) I'm not that kind of "vetteran" but I have referred to my fight on the Christian front in years gone by as my "spiritual Viet Nam" and I resent people who haven't spend a quarter of the time "in the trenches' as I have in this area- - that somehow "I've never met anyone who I can't discover knows NOTHING about Christianity - in a pretty big hurry and therefore aren't qualified to comment on it. Then they will say "You wouldn't simplify astronomy down to "Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are". First of all people like Neil won't even debate the Bible. If given a polygraph test he'd probably admit to believing "Anyone who places more credence in the Bible than in my words over the radio is guilty of idolitry or something". Despotic evangelicals such as Jim Jones even have a word for people who quote the Bible. They are called "Biblotrists". They also are called "Letterists", which is a word that isn't even in the dictionary. I checked. But the whole premise of the statement is wrong in a whole other way. If you eat food at a resturant that tastes like it's been laced with Drano or something, you'll balk at it. If your plumber says he unclogged your pipes and he didn't - - you have Every Right to say the guy knows nothing about plumbing - - even if you yourself are not a plumber. You have the right via contract to EXPECT that He knows his trade. These Republican "response" people don't know THEIR trade, because they are economically completely empty headed. At times I think "I'm the smartest economist I know. If I were another- - I'd hire Me". The darkest view of these tea party republicans is that they Enjoy sabotaging the economy - - because for something reason they are still "trying to bring Obama down" even though Obama will never run again.
