Ignoring the Warning Signs

I have a question for the author of the Book of Hebrews in the New Testament.  "What do you think when Obama says that "If you have a prior condition you are still Covered by your medical insurance? - - huh?
There were three topics I was going to talk on before we even had the Superbowl yesterday.  But “God” told me not to bring up the second or third.  I’m using “God” in that sentence in place of another term that might make me sound a little weird, but certainly a term I’ve used before, but not today.  The second topic I came up with was a whole “bit” by Mal Evans who so far this calendar year has kept rather quiet.  This was during Breakfast with the Beatles, and you might rightfully infer the topic had something to do with the Beatles, and I felt so “lucky” that Mal Evans “shared his thoughts” but now “God” doesn’t want me to go there.  The other topic was maybe around one where I got a visit from another cosmic entity- - who “God” doesn’t even want me to identify and “Don’t even hint about ANYTHING that transpired between the two of you”.  Having said that let’s rewind the clock to pre dawn before six and that show on KFI that comes on.  This is why I was feeling good because in this show the host said that perhaps cosmic entities look on certain civilizations like the Egyptians or the Mayans and they consider them “worthy’ or mature enough to be able to impart knowledge to them, so that their civilizations jump way out ahead of others.  The Jesus Christ show billed itself in talking about “Warning Signs”.   And I have no dispute with Neil Savedra in the least with the generic concept of what he’s talking about.  If a light on your dash board goes on such as temperature or oil pressure or something - - - and you make the decision to ignore it (Neil is really big on ‘decisions’) then the problem is not going to go away but know that in time it will only get worse.  But we in our lives have gotten “Warning Signs” about other things such as people in our lives - - that lover of ours who we suspect is becoming addicted to drugs.  I have received warning signs about my father and one brother in terms of our “interaction” and if there is one thing Born Again Christianity is known for it’s being taught to suppress any anxieties about people “who you are supposed to trust”.  And you have questions about your Faith itself and the people around you and warning signs go off and you suppress them.  It’s the old Thom Hartman thing about “Well now you have a more major example then before, but maybe it’s not really THAT much worse”.   I’ll give you a warning sign.  As a guiding principle in my life I believe that Eternal Cosmic truths - - truths that transcend “this world and time” are more significant than “personal beliefs”.  This presents a problem since Christians define God as a “Person” and you have a “personal relation” with him.  There is a school of thought out there “Whatever works for you” that I find to be on philosophical thin ice myself.  It’s the principle envoked by Dr Levy and also Alcoholics Annonamus, that goes “Look to God as you Understand Him”.   I mean “God is a Person” after all.  Three of them as a matter of fact.  But we are told that God also has a divine “substance”.  To me the word “substance” and Cosmic Truths don’t mix.  It’s kind of like trying to dissolve iron filings in water.  And the thing is in the Greek language, “Substance” means “materiality”.   There are only two questions that Rev Bill Halliday ever answered for me directly.  One involved lyrics to a Steely Dan song.  The other involved this Greek word “substance”.  It kind of derives from the legal term of “substantiated” evidence meaning “brought about” or “supported by substance” not to be redundant.  I guess I’d kind of like to know what this “divine substance” is.  Is it amberosia?  John Lennon had a song called “God” and that was a very personal song.  Both the Declaration of Independence and “God have the structural commonality of having a long “list of particulars” in the middle of it.  In the case of the Declaration of Independence, it is a list of what you could call “Warning Signs”.   One time I tried to “list” some “warming signs” about family relations- - with another brother, and Dr Cotter the psychiatrist accused me of “gunny sacking”.  Then I guess Thomas Jefferson must be guilty of Gunny Sacking.  However in John Lennon’s case, and I admire John for this- - we get a list of not warning signs but “Assertive Refutations”.  All of the “I don’t believe in - - “stuff.  I to this day don’t fully know what John Lennon was really trying to say in this song- - entirely, and unfortunately he’s dead now so we can’t ask him.  Of course FOX shortened the document considerably in order to make room for all their extra Commentary.  After all they are FOX.  But again - - if religion or the lack of it is a “personal” thing, well - - I mean one thing by God, Dr Levy means another, John Denver in that movie had his own specific ideas about God, and John Lennon still has  different take on God.  KLOS played from the “Plastic Ono Band 1970 outtakes” album, apparently.  I did just want to say one more thing by way of perhaps leaving a misimpression on a recent post.  I didn’t mean to imply that Romulans could not send telepathic messages while cloaked.  Indeed they do their best work when cloaked.  But “knowing they are around - - somewhere” is not to get a GPS geographic pin down on their location.
